Prepared for Lorena Otero & the BIM commercial team · 25 September 2026
The MTO re-key,gone.
An EPC enquiry lands in sales@. Takeoff. reads every line, checks the spec, works out the tonnage, matches it to stock and drafts the quote and the clarification list. Your team checks it and presses send. The demo below runs on sample enquiries, so try it.
What we understand
Built around how BIM sells
This comes from your website, brochures and public announcements. We haven't spoken to anyone yet, so tell us where we've got it wrong.
Export and EPC is the growth bet
A new division with a Middle East & India GM, a global export manager, and a Saudi hire on the way. More enquiries from more places.
Enquiries are long and messy
Emails, Excel MTOs and PDFs, often with dozens of lines mixing EN, API, ASTM and NORSOK. Someone has to re-key every line before pricing can start.
The detail wins the job
Z-quality, impact temperatures, class society, 3.1 or 3.2, third-party witness. Missing one means a revised quote, or a margin surprise later.
Speed wins EPC bids
Group stock in 10 countries is a real edge, but only if the quote goes out first and says clearly what's in stock and what needs a mill order.

Run a real-looking RFQ through it
Pick an enquiry and press Run. The client names, stock positions and prices are made up. The weights are calculated for real, from the sizes in each line.

Try your own line
Type an MTO line the way a client would
This small in-page reader handles common plate, pipe, hollow section and beam formats. The full version uses Claude, so it copes with whatever the client sends: odd abbreviations, merged cells, scanned PDFs.
What it could give back
Hours your team spends re-keying
Move the sliders to match a normal week. We're assuming about 3 minutes a line to read, check and key in, and that Takeoff. cuts that by 70%. Both numbers are ours, so the pilot measures your real ones.
The bigger prize is usually speed: the first complete, correct quote to reach an EPC's buyer tends to set the benchmark. We'll track time from enquiry to quote before and after, on your own enquiries.
How it works
Four steps. Your people keep control.
Built on tools that work alongside your current mailbox, stock list and CRM. Nothing to install, and no change to how clients send enquiries.
Read
A forwarding rule on sales@ passes new enquiries to Takeoff. Claude reads the email body and every attachment (Excel, PDF, even scans) and pulls out each line.
EMAIL · XLSX · PDFCheck
Grades and standards are normalised. Weights are calculated from dimensions. Missing requirements (Z-quality, impact temperature, class society, cert type) become questions.
EN · API · ASTM · NORSOKMatch
Each line is checked against your daily stock export and price rules: UK stock, group stock in Europe, or a mill order with lead time. Valves and fittings go to the right desk.
YOUR STOCK · YOUR PRICESDraft
A quote in your template and a cover email with the clarifications land in the coordinator's queue. They check it, adjust it and approve it. It's logged against the client in your CRM.
HUMAN APPROVAL · ALWAYSPhase 1 · 4 weeks

Next: certificate pack builder
Reads mill certificates (heat number, chemistry, mechanical results), checks them against the order spec, and compiles the indexed document pack for the EPC.
Next: quote follow-up
Open quotes chased on a schedule, loss reasons logged, and a weekly view of what's out, by region and by rep.
Next: "Send us your MTO" on the website
An upload form on biancointernationalmetals.com that feeds straight into Takeoff., so web enquiries arrive already structured.
Later phases are priced once Phase 1 has shown results.
Data & control
Your prices stay yours
Commercial data is sensitive, and we treat it that way from day one.
Not used for training
We use Anthropic's commercial API. Under its terms, your enquiries and prices aren't used to train models.
A person signs off
Takeoff. drafts; it never sends. Every quote is approved by someone at BIM, with a log of who approved what.
Read-only on stock
It reads a stock export. It doesn't write to your ERP or change stock, prices or orders.
Yours to switch off
Remove the forwarding rule and it stops. Your data is exported and deleted on request.
Questions
Straight answers
Does it replace anyone?
No. It takes the re-keying and first check off the coordinator's desk, so the team can quote more enquiries, chase more quotes and spend time with clients. The judgement stays with people.
What if it reads a line wrong?
Every line shows the original text next to what was read, so mistakes are easy to spot. Anything it isn't sure about is flagged, not guessed. In the pilot we measure accuracy line by line against your own checking.
Does it work with our systems?
Phase 1 only needs a forwarding rule on your sales mailbox and a daily stock export. We'll look at your CRM and ERP in week 1. If there's an easy way to log quotes automatically we'll use it, and if not, drafts come out in your template ready to paste.
Can it handle group stock across Europe?
If group stock positions can be shared as an export, yes. Takeoff. can show UK stock first, then group stock with a transit estimate, then mill production with lead time.
Who builds and supports it?
Membula Ltd, a London AI and automation consultancy. Chirag Patel builds and supports it directly: one person who knows your setup, not a ticket queue.
